Level 1 – Basic Protection for Clean Indoor Environments
For control rooms with stable temperature, low humidity, and minimal dust, a standard IP20 or IP21 cabinet is sufficient. Protection at this level focuses on electrical safety and thermal management: correctly sized circuit breakers, input reactors to reduce harmonics, and forced ventilation to remove heat generated by the drive and auxiliary components. Cable routing follows EMC best practices to prevent interference with sensitive control signals. This is the most cost-effective configuration for light industrial applications such as packaging, textile, or food processing.
Level 2 – Enhanced Protection for Dusty or Humid Sites
When the cabinet is installed in a workshop with airborne dust, sawdust, or high humidity, additional measures are required. We upgrade the enclosure to IP54, adding sealed gaskets, filtered ventilation, and anti-condensation heaters. Filters are selected for the specific particle size in your environment, and we design them for easy cleaning or replacement. For humid locations, a humidity controller activates the heater only when needed, preventing condensation without wasting energy. This level suits woodworking, grain handling, and general manufacturing.
Level 3 – Sealed Protection for Wash-Down and Outdoor Use
Food processing, beverage plants, and outdoor installations require cabinets that can withstand direct water spray and temperature extremes. We provide IP65 or IP66 enclosures with stainless steel or heavily coated steel construction. Cooling is achieved through closed-loop heat exchangers or air conditioners, so no unfiltered air enters the cabinet. Cable entries use proper glands to maintain the seal. For outdoor sites, we add sun shields and rain hoods. This level delivers reliable performance in harsh, wet, or exposed conditions.
Level 4 – Specialised Protection for Corrosive and Hazardous Areas
Chemical plants, coastal facilities, and mining operations present the most demanding conditions: corrosive gases, salt-laden air, conductive dust, or explosive atmospheres. We build cabinets with 316 stainless steel enclosures, special coatings, and sealed components rated for these environments. For hazardous areas, we offer ATEX or IECEx compliant designs with purge or explosion-proof enclosures. All materials are selected for chemical compatibility with the specific substances present on site.
